The 2009 SmallestHorse Group Biggest Heart Award winner was an easy choice this
year. When nominations went up on the forum, so did the name of Tara
Needham. Everyone realized the work that she has done with her horse Leo
to promote the 30" and under horse, and she was therefore automatically chosen
for the 2009 SmallestHorse Group Biggest Heart Award.
Tara and Leo travel around the country introducing people to the miniature
horse. They visit hospitals, schools, and various activities. From
the website I quote, "This
site (Stampede of Love) has been developed for all of those interested in
spreading awareness about animal therapy and programs for people of all ages
with special needs. "Leo", our little ambassador, is an ultra tiny Miniature
horse standing only 27" tall. His role in our "Stampede Of Love" is to share his

Somewhere in her busy schedule, Tara finds time to go to horse shows where Leo
is seen with lots of blue ribbons for halter and performance classes.
